EcoRoller Rollouts: Bringing Water Relief to Communities Across South Africa

Community leaders, local partners, and the Dillon Trust gathered to launch the first EcoRollers in Amandawe. Twenty-five rollers were distributed, bringing relief to families who carry water daily and offering renewed hope for women and children.

Driefontein, December 2025
With support from the Hall Family Foundation of Canada, 25 EcoRollers were delivered to women in Driefontein. Ed and Terri Hall joined the handover, where local women shared heartfelt stories about how rolling water will ease a daily burden.

Pongola, February 2026
In the rural Altona community near Pongola, 25 EcoRollers were delivered to families who collect water daily from distant municipal taps. The handover brought together caregivers, children, and local partners in a joyful gathering filled with gratitude and laughter.

Kenton-on-Sea, 2026
Members of the Rotary Club of Kenton-on-Sea and the Kariega Foundation have begun distributing EcoRollers to vulnerable households affected by ongoing drought. With support from Canadian Rotary partners, the initiative is easing water collection for families across the greater Kenton community.
